Short-term tests run 48 hours under closed-house conditions and are calibrated to EPA protocol — the standard accepted by lenders, title companies, and inspection contingencies. Long-term alpha-track tests run 90 days and give you a more accurate annual-average exposure picture. We report results the day the test ends.

Active sub-slab depressurization (SSD) — the gold-standard mitigation method for slab-on-grade and basement homes. We core a single suction point under the slab, route PVC up through an unfinished wall or chase, vent above the roofline per EPA protocol, and install a low-watt inline fan with manometer. Sub-4 pCi/L result guaranteed in writing, with post-mitigation verification included.

Just want to know if you have a problem? Start with a short-term radon test. Two days, one fixed-price quote, one number. If it’s under 4 pCi/L you’re done.
Test came back high? Move straight to mitigation. There’s no benefit to re-testing a high result with a different method — the EPA explicitly says to mitigate at 4 pCi/L or higher. A second test just delays the fix.
Buying or selling a house? Use our real-estate package. It bundles testing, mitigation, and post-mitigation verification on a timeline that matches your closing date.
Existing system that you’re not sure is working? Order a standalone post-mitigation test. We’ll check the manometer, verify the fan is running, and run a 48-hour test. About a third of the systems we audit are running but not getting the house under 4 pCi/L — usually because of an undersized fan or a suction-point in the wrong spot.
